A Blueberry cheesecake protein shake recipe!
I’ve been on a smoothie/shake obsession lately and I’m sure there will be more. I’ve been making breakfast here every day lately. They’re fun and versatile.
We had these Blueberry cheesecake protein shake protein breakfast shakes today and I kid you not, they didn’t taste like blueberry cheesecake but in a healthier smoothie/shake form. I am addicted!
Cheesecake is now one of my favorite desserts and it is a dream to have it for breakfast!
Of course, if you like it sweeter, you can add a spoonful or two of honey. I recommend using low-fat cottage cheese over skim here. The two taste so different to me, I tested this smoothie with both types and I prefer low-fat cottage cheese.
Eating an extra 20 calories is worth it, trust me. In addition, a bit of fat helps us feel full and absorb nutrients better, doesn’t it?
How much protein is in this blueberry cheesecake protein shake?
This smoothie is a great source of blueberry cheesecake protein shake, thanks to cottage cheese and kefir. That’s 20 grams total, and that’s without any added protein mix!

What about this topping?
As a side note, I now only add graham crackers and a cheap whipped cream topping, when I make these for breakfast, I don’t add any of those ingredients – I just add them here to make it look nicer.
You don’t need any of these ingredients, they’re perfectly delicious without them, and obviously, they’re not the healthiest option.
Of course, if you want to add them, add them, but I recommend using whipped coconut cream instead. I used honey to help the chopped graham crackers stick to the rim of the jar.
As I said before, healthy eating doesn’t have to be bland. It might even taste like dessert! Try this shake ASAP – feel like cheating, it’s super filling and doesn’t disappoint, and has 18 grams of protein per serving on blueberry cheesecake protein shake! Win breakfast all around!

Useful tips
1) If you want a stronger blueberry flavor, add 1 cup of blueberries instead of 1/2 cup!
2) This protein recipe is a low-calorie shake recipe and low-carb blueberry cheesecake protein shake recipe, but if you want to add whipped cream, we suggest you make your own. Our favorite whipped cream recipe so far is sugar-free and low-carb by the bakers at The Keto Kitchen! Not to mention how quick and easy it is to “whip” it! Click here to quickly find the recipe!
*Milk tips:
Most coconut, almond, and other nut milk do NOT have protein. Numerous nut milk is also lacking a significant quantity of fat ( we want that fat to help shoot the satisfaction signal to your brain!). Pea-protein grounded milk like Ripple does have protein, but I suppose they taste like dirt. My favorite nut-grounded milk is Elmhurst walnut milk ( or anything by Elmhurst) or the Silk Vanilla Protein Nut milk I mentioned above.
If you prefer to buy whipped cream, we encourage you to choose organic and non-GMO whipped cream! Why is non-GMO important? Most of the popular whipping creams on the market contain chemicals that can affect your health and overall well-being. Our favorite organic whipped creams are Truwhip, Natural by Nature, and 365 Real Dairy whipped cream, which you can easily find in most markets.
